ERIK SLAVEN
WRITER
ERIK SLAVEN
Erik has been an animal lover his entire life, growing up with rescue dogs and never living without one. His family has always believed in rescuing vs. purchasing direct from breeders, although they’ve adopted many purebreds at local shelters. After graduating with a business and marketing degree, he found writing was his true calling. He’s currently the US Editor for a major European watch publication and writes for technology sites as well. Although he’s never been a cat person (at all), a stray kitten walked into his door a few years ago and never left, and now he’s a cat person. His current lineup includes a mixed terrier and a toy fox terrier that he shares “joint custody” with his parents. It’s not uncommon for Erik to have up to four dogs at once, so a new rescue canine is probably imminent.
